Gesso underpainting with Watercolor

This was inspired by one of Libit’s class projects. The watercolor paper is painted with Gesso, an acrylic paint. Then I dripped watercolors on to the dried paper. When everything dried I pullout the watercolored areas that shaped the pelicans. Then I added highlights and darker watercolor paint to accent the shapes. It looks toxic [...]
